Urban planning with citizen participation: the right to the city as a democratic tool for territorial and urban transformation

Regarding this review, I will structure the content in three parts. I will begin with a brief introductory conceptual summary on the definition of citizen participation and the right to the city, and their relationship to urban planning. Then I will address four of the topics raised in the book: 1. The beginnings of urban planning in Mexico City; 2. Regulations governing citizen participation; 3. Zoning and socio-spatial segregation; and 4. Housing units. Finally, I will offer a conclusion on the aforementioned topics, inviting reflection and consideration.
