About the Journal

URBEāctĭo is a Journal of Urbanism, Territory and
Architecture, a scientific publication of the
Postgraduate and Research Section of the
Tecamachalco School of Engineering and
Architecture of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional
(México). It is a biannual, peer-reviewed,
open-access journal. Its vision is to disseminate
and expose, based on original scientific
publications, new inter and transdisciplinary
theoretical-methodological approaches, which
establish and enrich the continuous dialogue between
research in the fields of urban-territorial and
architecture, in order to promote new knowledge.

URBEāctĭo focuses on the proposed research
projects falling within the following
urban-territorial and architectural themes
and/or related themes:

1.sustainable urban-territorial and architectural
planning, design, project, organization,
management and renewal;

2.social and vernacular housing, environment,
climate change, risk and resilience;

3.
postmodernity, territory, culture, gender,
identities and daily life;

4.
urban-architectural technology;

5. urban-architectural art, tangible and
intangible urban-architectural heritage;

6.
sustainable urban-territorial development of
local, regional and global structures, and

7. landscape and urban imaginaries.


URBEāctĭo is a journal of urban planning,
territory and architecture that welcomes
proposals for academic articles and reviews of
original texts, theoretical or empirical
research, current urban-territorial and/or
architectural issues and related topics.
Proposed manuscripts must have the following
lengths:

1. For scientific articles: between 6,000 and
8,000 words (30-35 pages).

2. For reviews: between 1,200 and 1,800 words
(1 to 5 pages).

The critical apparatus to be used will be APA
2018 and/or later.
